Spring Flowers

I must confess I have posted these pictures far too late!To be quite honest I have caught up in the whirl wind that I think the whole world can relate to right now.Despite the fact the world is in turmoil, natures cycle goes on and still continues. We have been in a most glorious spring.Whenever I am out on my daily exercise I look around and see Springs subtle beauty. Some cherry blossoms are still out and everything is green…filled with color.I think sometimes we have to focus on the media less because it can leave us anxious and panic ridden and look on our beautiful surroundings and take pleasure in the tiniest ladybug or the flower we at first took for a weed.Where all around we may see death, see natures life!

Frost

We only had a few frosty days this winter and the weather was very mild compared to previous winters. However we have had the wettest winter in records.Storm Ciara did considerable damage, followed by storm Dennis and Ellen.

Fly Agaric

One of Britain’s most well known mushrooms…their distinctive red spotty form features in lots of well known fairy story’s. Despite their cute appearance they are deadly poisonous so no touching! However poisonous they are for us, slugs love them so its common to see big holes and munch marks. They are a super exciting find and probably the easiest mushroom to identify.

Painted Lady

Quite a common Butterfly to see,It particularly likes dry open areas .This species actually migrates from North Africa each spring.Painted Lady’s have a wing span of  50-56mm. Its caterpillars eat thistles, mallows, nettles, vipers bug-loss as well various other plants.
